I was a huge tomboy when I was little. I would steal my brothers clothes, attempt to wrestle and play football with him, wear boy's sneakers, and play video games with him. Gaming was super important to me. Since I wasn't good at sports and I didn't like to read, escaping into a virtual world where I had skills and talents was fun for me. I can still remember when I got my first game, Pokemon Red, and how I devoted my life to beating it. Almost twenty years later and here I am, still gaming like it was yesterday.
Throughout my childhood, I would constantly play video games with my brother. My favorites were Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Sonic, Need for Speed Underground 2, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, and Guitar Hero. My best friend Katelyn and I still play Guitar Hero so religiously that we bring it out every time we hang out. As I got older, I still continued to play video games, but there was always a stigma that it was something you should leave in high school. I personally still game because of nostalgia, and I love escaping into a simpler time through a game I used to play.
I'm now the proud owner of the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition console. Microsoft provided me with this console for review, but all opinions are my own. Since I'm a clean-freak, it's seriously so nice not having to store and track down all of the discs. Disc-free gaming allows me to save space, the risk of ruining the disk from scratches, and have all of my games easily accessible from my console. Not to mention, the All-Digital Edition of the Xbox One S is $50 cheaper than the console with a disc-drive, so it saves money and clutter.
I have the Xbox Game pass, but you can also purchase thousands of games from the present and past to play. I bought classics like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro to relive my golden days, but I have Mortal Kombat thanks to the Game Pass. Having over 550 classics from the Xbox 360 and Original Xbox along with over 2,200 games from the now gives me the world at my fingertips! The console also turns my tv into a smart tv, with the ability to stream Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, and Amazon in 4K so that I can use it for more than just gaming. It's seriously the greatest addition to my home!
