"Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with."
-Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City
I think we can all agree that post-finals soul revivals are more than necessary. After a week of non-stop stress and practically putting coffee in an IV, I took to New York City to recharge my batteries and reunite with my girls. Pretending to be Carrie Bradshaw for a weekend is acceptable, right?
It was a weekend of inspiration, creativity, and laughter that I'm so thrilled to share with you all. It was almost unreal to reunite with these girls. Not only do they inspire me every single day, they encourage me to be better and motivate me to grow. They are the reason I am where I'm at now and I owe them the world for that. I wouldn't have started my blog without them giving me the wings I needed to fly.
From photoshoots, to binge eating instagrammable desserts, to new adventures... this is what happens when you go on vacation with seven other bloggers:
1. Empire State of Mind
The first day, we met at Monica's friend's apartment for a photoshoot. The location was absolutely breathtaking. It was a gorgeous rooftop with the Empire State Building as the star of the show (until we arrived, of course). We met one of my long-time internet friends, Waikei (@waikeezy), and her boyfriend/photographer Jay for this shoot. It was so exciting to finally meet her and capture these moments with my long-distance friends.

2. All Of The Lights
After the sun set on us the first day, we decided to take advantage of the city that never sleeps. We went to the PINK pop-up shop after dinner and took pictures with this neon sign. We whole-heartedly planned on going in, but the line wrapped around a few blocks, so we took on Times Square instead.
3. Flatiron Fierce
On day two, we woke up early to make the most of daylight. Our first move was heading to the flatiron district to take a few pictures and grab Shake Shack for breakfast. Who doesn't want crinkle-cut fries at 9am, right?
4. Brooklyn Babes
After tackling the flatiron building, the four other girls met up with us before we began our day out. Sam brought along the nicest, most talented photographer named Konnor (@konnorwithakay) to capture our fun on camera. We put on our best outfits and headed to the Brooklyn Bridge and the iconic Washington Street in DUMBO. The photos couldn't have turned out more perfect.

It was surely a weekend to remember. After a day of photoshoots, an evening of shopping, and a night of shenanigans at Catch NYC, I don't think I'll ever forget this trip. From California to NYC, these blogger babes and I have shared some of my fondest memories. Hopefully we'll be taking on another city soon. Stay tuned! ;)
