Ms. New Booties

Marilyn Monroe once said, "Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world." When it comes to the fall season, every fashionista's 'right' shoe is the perfect pair of booties. Fashion Week, as per usual, had a few exaggerated trends that have translated well into affordable fashion. Step into fall with these bootie, bootie, booties I'm rockin' everywhere. Look #1: Sparkle & Shine

"A woman with good shoes is never ugly." -Coco Chanel

Metallic, sparkly, and rhinestone shoes took over the runway during 2017 Fashion Week. Minimalism is out, glamour is in. Shiny shoes are an eye-catching statement that fashionistas ignore at their peril. Oscar de la Renta, Saint Laurent, and Chanel all showcased sparkly statement boots on this fall's runway. If bedazzled boots may be a bit too much for you, metallic boots are a great way to bring the runway to the streets.

Look #2: Fiery Footwear

"A shoe has so much more to offer than just to walk." -Christian Louboutin

Because power red is color of fall, the red boot is a fashion extravaganza. These fiery pieces of footwear --rocked the runway-- from designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, and Givenchy. Taking this look into affordable fashion, multiple retailers have shocked their shelves with the patent leather red boot. No fall wardrobe is complete without this color!

Look #3: Power Neutrals

"The right pair of shoes can change the feel of an outfit, and even change how a woman feels about herself." -Fergie

Power neutrals are always in. Cheetah print, camouflage, stripes, and other neutral colored prints can spice up any outfit. Prints are bold, flirty, and fun, adding personality to your outfit. If you're feeling wild, rock leopard print or fur. If you're feeling fun, mix in a pattern like stripes, grids, or polka dots. If you're feeling romantic, grab a pair of embroidered booties and slay the day. There is a power neutral for every mood that can take any outfit to new heights.

Look #4: Platforms

"Shoes must have very high heels and platforms to put women’s beauty on a pedestal." – Vivienne Westwood

[Another blast from the past on the comeback trail ]are platform shoes. The sky is the limit with this style. Designers like Hermes, Marc Jacobs, and Balanciaga all included these in their fall collections. These are a great way to make legs look longer and outfits more powerful. While bold, the style is quickly becoming normalized. Don't be afraid to channel your inner Spice Girl to make the streets your runway!

Fall 2017 is bold and beautiful. All of the trends are strong, powerful, and striking. These four trends are just a few of many styles that hit the runway this year. Other boot styles not pictured are mile-high thigh-highs, white boots, western-inspired boots, and kitten-heeled boots. No matter your mood, boots this fall take your outfit (and confidence) to the next level.
