If you've been keeping up with my blog, you know that I truly love music. I grew up around it because my dad always had his band practices at our house and I was constantly exposed to it from a young age. I got my first guitar in elementary school and taught myself how to play it when I was in fifth grade. The first song I ever learned how to play was Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry. My dad's band played a lot of funk, if you're wondering why, so I was obsessed with it when I was young.
Ever since then I'd been writing songs, exposing myself to as many different genres as I could, and going to concerts like a mad woman. If I tried to name every single artist I've seen in concert, you would be reading for a really long time. To save you the scrolling, a few that I've seen are artists like John Mayer (8 times), the Killers, Blink-182, Brand New, Earth Wind and Fire, Lorde, Modest Mouse, Bastille, Lana, DMB, and Eminem. I also went to Firefly 2015, Music Midtown 2014, and Warped Tour for seven years straight. Fun fact: my very first concert was the High School Musical Concert. You would think that would be embarrassing but I have no shame.
Aside from all of that, I got into collecting records when I was in High School. I took my grandma's old record player and my dad's old records and would constantly have it playing. The quality wasn't very good considering the speakers were from the 80s, but I was still excited by it. When I was a freshman in college, my boyfriend got me a new Crosley record player and the obsession grew. I love the way that it sounds and the authenticity of it all. I also like that with CD's being a thing of the past, this is a way that we can still support the artist. Because of this, I wanted to share with you all a few of my favorite albums to listen to on vinyl!

2. The Magical Mystery Tour- The Beatles
